The roll-in of the instant favorite button has turned DA into an arena of pageviews and incessant clicking, and quality / membership has thus TANKED. This is probably a natural cycle of online art galleries, flooded by over-popularity and left to the ad-view vultures hocking imaginary pixel goods for way too much actual money.

Anyway! Like any good germ passing through the flourish and decay of its environs, I set out to find a NEW, up-and-coming online gallery like the Elfwood, Y!Gallery and deviantART of old.
There's this thread for a list, but mainly the last two for illustration specifically, and being new:
